Throughout the weekend
Alumni around the world are asked to volunteer in their communities in the name of Alma Mater. Event dovetails with UI student service day on same date. Volunteers are urged to pledge service time online at www.uiaa.org/ihelp and send photos and videos of their activities.

Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally
6-8 p.m.
Parade runs from 6-7 p.m., starting at Sixth Street and Taft Drive in Champaign, traveling through Campustown and turning south on Mathews Avenue in Urbana to end at the Quad. Parade entry deadline: Oct 15 or 90 entries.
